Residency Program

The Pathology Residency Program at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University offers comprehensive residency training across its affiliated hospitals to create an expansive experience for medical graduates planning careers in pathology.

Pathology Residency Program

The Pathology Residency Program's mission is to provide the highest quality residency in anatomic and clinical pathology, to enhance the value of undergraduate and graduate medical education for students at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and to produce superior physicians with a commitment to life-long learning and the scholarly practice of pathology.

Fellowship Training

Dermatopathology

The Fellowship in Dermatopathology prepares trainees for leadership in clinical practice and academic medicine.

Developmental Pediatric Pathology

This fellowship is a one to two-year, ACGME-accredited training program specializing in pathologic diagnosis of genetic and metabolic disease, infections, neoplasia and malformations, and pediatric forensic pathology and neuropathology.

The Fellowship in Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology is a one-year training program.

Women’s and Perinatal Pathology

The International Visiting Fellowship Program in Women’s and Perinatal Pathology at Brown University aims to expand expertise in the diagnosis, testing, and screening of diseases affecting women and newborns worldwide.

The Stuart C. Lauchlan Fellowship in Women’s Pathology offers combined training in all three disciplines of women’s pathology--gynecologic pathology, breast pathology, and gynecologic cytopathology.
