I am proud to announce that Dr. M. Ruhul Quddus, MD, MPhil (Path), Professor of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine and Division Director of Women’s Pathology, is invited to join a panel of current international leading experts to author the 6^th edition of WHO Classification of Tumours – Female Genital Tumours.  Our retired Chief of Pathology, Dr. W. Dwayne Lawrence, MD, MSc (Path), Emeritus Professor of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, was among the experts who contributed to the 4^th edition.  The International Agency of Research on Cancer (IARC) is responsible for the authoritative “WHO Blue Books” which provide histopathological and molecular criteria for tumor classification.  The series is regarded as the international gold standard and the most authoritative and concise reference books for the diagnosis of tumors which underpin patient treatment as well as research into all aspects of cancer causation, prevention, therapy, and education.  We are very proud of Dr. Quddus’ achievements.  Please join me to congratulate him on reaching this special milestone.
