Professor Liang Cheng has been appointed as an Expert Member of the Editorial Board for the WHO Classification of Urinary and Male Genital Tumours (WHO Blue Book).

 

Dr. Cheng has also made prominent contributions to earlier editions of the WHO Blue Book. In the 2016 WHO Classification of Tumours of the Urinary System and Male Genital Organs, 85 of Dr. Cheng’s research articles, including 20 first-author publications , were cited. These accounted for 2.7% (85 of 3,106) of all references cited in the WHO book, representing the highest contribution by a single individual.

 

Dr. Cheng also co-authored 21 chapters in the 2022 WHO Classification of Urinary and Male Genital Tumours, further underscoring his worldwide research impact (his current H-index:139; i10-index: 1043).

 

Dr. Liang Cheng currently serves as President of the International Society of Urological Pathology (ISUP).
