Dr. Wafik El-Deiry has been named to the National Academy of Inventors Class of 2024.

WIN Consortium and Brown University announce the election of Prof. Wafik El-Deiry, Director, Legorreta Cancer Center, Associate Dean, Oncologic Sciences, Warren Alpert Medical School, Brown University as Chair of the WIN Consortium beginning December 17, 2023.

On December 1, 2022, the Editorial Office of Cancer Drug Resistance (CDR) was very honored to interview Journal Editorial Board member Prof. Wafik S. El-Deiry, who is Associate Dean for Oncologic Sciences at the Warren Alpert Medical School, Director of the Cancer Center at Brown University, and Director of the Joint Program in Cancer Biology at Brown University and Affiliated Hospitals, Providence, RI, USA.

Undergraduate Student Andrew George has been awarded the Clapp Prize for Outstanding Senior Honors Thesis in Biochemistry for contributions to the cancer immunotherapy hyper-progression model & molecular signatures.

Dr. Wafik El-Deiry has received the Inventor of the Year Award from Brown University.

Legoretta Cancer Center Director, Dr. Wafik El-Deiry, testified before the Rhode Island House of Representatives on Bill 8008 regarding Data Sharing in Medical Research for all Rhode Islanders which was introduced by Representative Mia Akerman.
