Division of Anatomic Pathology

The Division of Anatomic Pathology provides comprehensive high-complexity, multispecialty diagnostic pathology services of two largest healthcare systems in the state: Lifespan Health and Care New England Health. The Division of Anatomic Pathology is staffed by nationally recognized pathologists with expertise and experience in their subspecialty areas. Through extensive clinical work and multidisciplinary translational research in genomics, bioinformatics and digital pathology, we provide integrated state-of-the art diagnostic service for our patients and Brown communities.

The Division has processed over 72,000 surgical specimens,79,000 cytology specimens and 290 autopsies in 2023.
